To control the illegal construction of buildings in the developing nodes of Navi Mumbai, City
and Industrial development Corporation of Maharashtra (CIDCO) initiated the demolition
drive in Jui-Kamothe node on Thursday, April 30, 2015.
Taking the demolition move forward, the drive was conducted on Plot no. 229 and 232 in Jui-
Kamothe. Shri Vithu Damu Kadu of M/s. Kaitiraj Developers had constructed G+4 storeys
building upon the land vested with CIDCO without any land title and development
permission. On surveying, it was found illegal. Hence to take a stringent action against this
construction, the building developed on Plot No. 229 and 232 comprising of plinth area of
474.60 sq.mt was partially demolished. The other half of the construction shall be
demolished in the forthcoming drive. The FIR has also been registered against them.
The demolition was conducted under the control of Shri Gosavi, Controller of Unauthorized
Construction, CIDCO, with the assistance and support of 250 Police Personnel under the
supervision of ACP Shri. Suryavanshi and Sr.P.I. Shri Mullemwar. Besides this, Shri Parag
Sonavane, API(CIDCO), Shri Raosaheb Survase, Dy.SO., along with Shri P.B. Rajput, CUC,
Shri Sunil Chidchale, FO(I)/ADO(I/C) and other staffs. For the demolition drive all together, 7
Poclains, 2 JCB, 2 Gas Cutters & 50 laborers, 3 trucks and 6 Jeeps were used.
