Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to create a digital repository of land records in the state. The online portal, to be launched by chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu shortly, is aimed at bringing in transparency and ensuring easy verification during registrations or applying for loans from banks.
The digital repository will incorporate technology for egovernance and categorises the details of land into information about the owner, area, assessment, water rate, soil type, nature of possession of land, liabilities, tenancy and crops grown. One can also view individual/village adangal and other details on the website.
In a press release on Sunday, the state government said users could enter their Aadhaar card number to view their land details. They can also search for their Field Measurement Book (FMB) through the website. The details of all the transactions will be updated on the portal.
With respect to grievances related to land, people can register a compliant at the closest mee-Seva centres.
