Credai plans business to business meet with real estate brokers

NASHIK: The Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Association of India (CREDAI) has decided to conduct business to business (B2B) meetings with real estate brokers in Nashik and Mumbai in a bid to boost real estate sector in Nashik, which has been passing through a phase of recession.

The whole real estate sector is passing through a phase of recession for the past four years and the Nashik's real estate sector is not exception to this. The gap between demand and supply has been increasing. The supply is very good in the city, but demand is so poor comparatively. Around 4,000 ready flats are lying idle in the city due to lack of demand from the consumers.
Speaking to TOI, Jayesh Thakkar, president, CREDAI, Nashik, said, "The whole real estate sector is passing through a phase of recession for the past four years. We are hopping a boost to the real estate sector during festive season from Navratri to Diwali. We are getting good response from the consumers due to festive season. Around 100 flats amounting to Rs30 crore from the city builders were booked on Dasara. We had recently organised a two-day realty expo on October 10 and 11 at Ghatkopar in Mumbai. Around 1,000 genuine visitors and brokers had visited the expo. We are expecting a good business to be generated due to this expo in next coming few months."
He further said, "Apart from this, we are organising B2B with real estate brokers in Mumbai and Nashik before Diwali next month. We are inviting select 100 real estate brokers in Mumbai. The objective is to attract customers from Mumbai, who are willing buying flats in Nashik. In Nashik too, we are inviting select 100 brokers for B2B. The city builders will hold one to one meeting with the brokers during the B2B."
