GURGAON: Three police cases were filed on Sunday against Vigneshwara Developers at Sushant Lok I police station.

Two of the FIRs were filed after Ishwari Singh from Lucknow and Gurpreet Singh, a Gurgaon resident, alleged the developer had cheated them of Rs 56.4 lakh each. The third case was lodged on the complaint of a resident of Shikohpur village, Laxman Singh, who alleged he was cheated of Rs 37.4 lakh.
All three complained that the developer charged booking amounts for different real estate projects, but flats were not booked. "A case under sections 406, 420 and 120B of the IPC and sections of the Public Interest Disclosure Act has been registered against the developer," said ACP (crime) Rajesh Kumar.
The MD of the company was arrested by the economic offences wing of Delhi Police last year in a Rs 1,000 crore cheating case. A case was also lodged by Gurgaon Police this March.
