MUMBAI: The rupee fell marginally by 4 paise to 63.59 against the US currency in early trade at the Interbank Foreign Exchange market on Wednesday due to fresh demand for thedollar from importers.

The dollar strengthened against other major currencies overseas, impacting the rupee sentiments here, dealers said.
Fresh demand for dollar from importers and a lower opening in the domestic equity market also weighed on rupee.
Meanwhile, the benchmark BSE Sensex fell further by 109.20 points, or 0.38 per cent, to 28,072.94 in early trade.
